12th Dubai Corporate Games

June 11, 2017

The 12th Dubai Corporate Games were held on the weekend of March 17 and 18. Over 3,500 participants competed across 17 sports, and were joined by close to 3,000 of their colleagues, friends and family for a weekend filled with fun activities, sponsor activations, dance, food, music, and more.

Competition was heated from the start on Friday morning. Leading the way were the usual suspects - Choueiri, Al Tayer,

Chalhoub, PepsiCo, Petrofac, Nestle, Dubai Duty Free and MARS - which fielded the largest teams. It was Al Tayer and PepsiCo (the top 2 performing companies over the last 5 years) who drew first blood, winning the men and ladies golf competitions, while Dubai Duty Free won the bowling event.

Friday also saw Julius Monahan from BRF One Food win the Bank of Sharjah sponsored Dhs 5,000 half-court shot competition. He later celebrated his win with more than 30 BRF teammates in an impromptu Zumba class with Medina, our resident instructor.

On Saturday, with the competitions moving to the final crucial stages, it was Chalhoub Group who started collecting the most medals, sweeping most of the swimming and running events, and emerged as basketball champions. Choueiri continued years of dominance in karting and tennis.

The 2-day event concluded with an awards ceremony where the winners were presented with their trophies and medals. Ms. Sandra Choueiri, from Title Sponsors Choueiri Group, and Mr. Amjad Ezzi, representing the Dubai Sports Council, did the honors.

The 2017 Dubai Corporate Games was the largest to date. The event has become the largest corporate sports and team building event in Dubai. That would not have been possible without our partnership with, and the continuous support of, our main sponsors: Choueiri Group (Title Sponsors for 10 years), The American University in Dubai (venue partner for 12 years), Nestle, PepsiCo, ITP, Bank of Sharjah, and the American Hospital.

We at High 5 Events are already looking forward to 2018 and hoping the next edition of the Dubai Corporate Games will be even bigger and more fun!
